Digital Doran
See if you can guess which movie I just watched again last night for the first time in about 20 years. Come on, think reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal hard...
Yes, that would be Tron. Good times. And I figured hey, why not make a Tron version of anthro Dorey. Anthro because I didn't have the brainpower to try and design a light cycle for a quadroped, though it could be a fun challenge at a later date.
Left it a little sketchy because I'm never going to be able to freehand a perfect circle no matter how many hours I put into it, and it still gets the message across. Also took some liberties with the light cycle design, nothing says they all need to look the same after all! Actually I borrowed heavily from a Hot Wheels miniature I have called 'Tri & Stop Me.' It looked cool and futuristic enough to work, and I felt inspired.

Oh goodness...how many hours I've probably lost...but never actually realised it...playing GLTron...
Been years since I last saw Tron...more years than I care to calculate now that I think about it!
You've definitely captured the visual style well there I think! Nicely done.
...Also reminds me of the cover of the Slade album called "The Amazing Kamicaze Syndrome."

Hee! I think you introducing me to GLTron is a large part of what helped remind me that Tron existed and end up buying it on DVD. It's a good time. Will have to share my DVD with you sometime!
Having just looked up the cover art for that Slade album I can see what you mean too, same sort of feel with bright colors on a dark background. ^^
