I think that's a bit of a loaded question coming from a rattlesnake. But she's adorable, so that's okay. It's always neat to see characters in day-to-day activities like this. Or night-to-night, perhaps, considering the setting. Kate looks so beautiful here, and I love the detail on her scales and the deft way she's pouring the drink. You can tell just by looking that she'd be everyone's favorite bartender!
Kate would probably play up the joke but she of course wouldn't hurt anyone unless they had it coming. I wouldn't put it past her to mildly poison someone hassling a girl in her bar, for example. While for a long time I really didn't know what Kate's 'job' would be (it has changed over the years), I can absolutely imagine her as a bartender. She is fairly good at gambling and quite a few odd skills.
Oh, I never thought she'd actually poison anyone. I know she's a good person, and she's never struck me as the kind to hurt anyone, unless they were a threat in some way. I was just teasing. But I think making a joke of it and playing it up would be a fun addition to the bar, especially if she has regulars who are in on the joke. And I feel ya on trying to figure out what it is she does for a living. I've had characters like that, and some I'm still trying to figure out. But lots of people work lots of different jobs, and sometimes it can be fun to have the character figuring things out along with you. In any case, it's nice to see her again, and in such a gorgeous picture, too!
Oh, I know, but she definitely would play with her patrons like that. She knows how to mess with people. :)
Some characters jobs are easy, but a lot of my characters take some time to figure out what their niche is. Logan was originally going to be the supporting character and a rival to Abby but when I decided on everyone's plotlines Abby became a nurse and Logan became the main character. For the plot to work I made Logan a private detective, and it all kind of fell into place from there.
Lucy and Kate have had a while for me to figure out where they fit, but I usually kept them together since they seem to belong as a couple. But as far as what their jobs is it's always been somewhat nebulous. Until relatively recently.
