these big snouted moles are used for transport just like the carrier toads. also construction & digging work of any kind. they are the Rangers' main steed, they can travel anywhere in Hills underground and can respond to emergencies rather quickly that way.
the Rangers are the closest to a military/police force Hills has. not much crime happens in Hills, so predator attacks are the main threats the Rangers have to deal with.
