Well, fortunally Robin now has better clothes. In his case, Robin is better with pants as himself in comics of today. In some characters, briefs are not so bad. For example, Superman looks pretty good in his classic suit (at least in comics, because in the cinematic universe, his costume in my opinion is the best), but still the comic doesn't look as bad.
