Wow, seriously? You've never heard of a tanooki before?

They're an animal only found in Japan. They kinda look like raccoons, but they're related to the canine (dog) family. Also there is old Japanese folklore/legends telling that these creatures have illusion/transformation powers. Same with Kitsunes. (nine-tailed foxes)
This is where the formula of my character, Gamma-kun, comes from. He can transform into any video game character and have their abilities through eating different flavored candy pieces he eats.
