I'm not sure what animal this could represent. Maybe a half-coyote half-african wild dog? X3
Anyway, the entire tail is made out of yarn.
I think it's my favorite so far! And guess what? I made it in one day. xD
I just /had/ to practice mottling colors, because I'm always so afraid to. I think it turned out lovely, though, and very shiny and soft o_o;;
If I sold it, how many of you would be interested? x3

I could, but I haven't tried it yet. Skahlly, my best friend and comrade, actually has actually successfully suspended a yarn tail with wire. This summer I hope she'll teach me how to do it, but I won't be selling the idea. I'm actually trying to get /her/ to sell suspended wire tails. x3
Really? haha x3 Well if you get on my watch list, I'll probably post a journal soonish about all the tails I want to sell. I may sell this one after I use it at ACen. XD Or I may keep it, I dunno. We'll see how much interest it gets x3 It's by far my favorite that I've ever made.
I'm all for taxidermy in general (except when people wear the tails/parts around with no respect for the actual animal), but fur farms are something I avoid like the plague. :< That's not the kind of business I want to support. I might just have to grab myself one of your tails one of these days. ;D
I enjoy fur, and I must say that yes I do wear fur and leather and I go to the Renaissance Faire and animal hides are "in" in that kind of place, ya know? But yeah, fur farms are just bad. I'm for hide and meat, but I'm against cruelty. I hope to hear from you about a commission, though. It would help my cause. : 3
XD It's my favorite, too. Even though it's little. But, it's fitting, somehow. It's just so cute xD I want to make more with this kind of mottling effect. Like, one with oranges and golds, and another with blacks and browns, and another with dark browns and tans.... x3
As for wire, I had success both with weaving wires through the strands that make the core, and in weaving the core around the wire. (Though weaving the wire through makes the fibers slide less later.)
This looks really nice. :3 I actually have to force myself to make colours solid when I make tails, haha... I like mottling too much.
