8 of Swords, or 'Interference', symbolizes self-imposed restrictions, negative thoughts, and imprisonment; reversed, it means one's inner critic, or opening yourself up to new lines of thinking. I chose Marble Pie for this because the poor mare seems to be limited by the traditions of the Pie Family and her own anxieties.

Here, Marble seems to be trapped, surrounded by steel bars and tied up. However, if she were to remove her blindfold, she would see that the bars are just swords stood upright, easily pushed down, and that the other end of the rope is hanging loose. The water at her hooves suggests that she might be able to intuit this, but still she cannot see.
