3 of Swords, or 'Sorrow', is the card of heartbreak and grief; reversed, it is negative self-talk or forgiveness and releasing pain. I chose Doctor Whooves for this one because the Doctor has been through the wringer. He's post-Time War, he feels like he ruins everything he touches, and he is just generally in a lot of emotional turmoil.

The symbolism here isn't exactly subtle. He's had swords shoved through his hearts, which represent emotional pain. This is mirrored by the storm clouds at his back. However, no storm lasts forever -- as the clouds fade, so too will the sorrow.
