Here's one for all the Retro Nerdfags and Gamewads out there.
I kind of have a love-hate relationship with all those trendy "retro" fashion things out there, all worn out jeans and weathered t-shirts extolling the virtues of some summer camp from 8 years before the wearer was born.
I was dicking around in MSPaint, making a little pixelman, he's a pretty cool guy. So I put my photoshop magic on it and made him into a sweetass spraytag extolling the virtues of my Speed run camp. Camp Videogamepun.
I like to think that when I run all the way to the saferoom, leaving the other 11 survivors (I love custom servers) trailing behind, it annoys them when they see this spraytag after they finally get to the safe room.
odds are they probably don't give a flying fuck. but still, I like the design of this tag and I'd wear it on a t-shirt.

The game would follow the adventures of Run Guy, as he traverses the standard cliche worlds. Lavaworld, Ice world, cakey food world, spikey metal world. trying to get to the end before the other players. dicking each other over ala Wii SMB, with lots of puzzle bosses.
Also the logo on his t-shirt would change to show which arrow or button the player was pressing.

Me and an RL mate used to treat all of L4D1 as a speed run "race".
The AI teammates were allowed to live as they were the only ones who could save us from Smokers/Hunters as we sure as hell didn't help each other.
My favourite thing was "Tank Baiting", where we would try to guess the tank positions and time our health/pills so that we'd activate the Tanks so they'd pound the crap out of the other guy whilst we ran cackling to the saferoom. x-D

Oh yeah, that stuff's fun, especially when you run ahead, then lead the tank back to your limping team mates. I pretty much treat L4D2 as wacky races with zombies.
I do all this and more on my favourite l4d2 servers. Low Grav, 16 survivors. It's a speed runner's dream XD
I think one of the mutation game modes is gonna be something like this. Only one person gets to leave at the finale and it's the first one to the ship/chopper/car.. maybe they'll award for being first to safe rooms too. :B
