Plushie #10: Crown Supercoach, made for
Zoran
It's huge!
This 1m long, ~3kg heavy plushie of a school bus was my first commission for someone from the US.
It was a big project (not only by size) with a lot of manual sawing (yellow/black stripes are not an embroidery, just a pieces of fabric).
Even if the shape is quite simple, it still took a me longer than one month to complete. It was worth it, the result was stunning for me.
With a size and weight like that, it is a perfect plush for hugging and cuddling in bed.
Just look how tiny the ST-44 train looks comparing to this monster.
This is a max size of a train/bus I can ship for the US, because of parcel size restriction.
Sure I can make larger ones, but I would have to send them without stuffing.

I normally am not into vehicles in plush, but this is the exception for me! I live in California(moved here from MI in 2005), and have always liked the classic Crown buses! In fact I wanted to buy a retired one and convert it to a retro- styled motorhome! Looked into the costs to do so, and can't afford it!!! The county I live in still had a whole school bus fleet of these until a couple years ago(when the last Crown was replaced by a Blue Bird), including the tandem- axle model like your plush!
Hey. I’m 5 years late but I’m so happy to meet another enthusiast! I went to a private school but I would always see crowns for the public school system here but the smaller ones. my memories were the HUGE clouds of diesel exhaust( and loving that) and asking my mom the dumb question of why do they sound like they are going to explode which now older I know is just the nature of the 6-71 and wanting one Back then. Many years later I moved and the first time I saw a tandem axle crown was in a yard with another one and all kinds of stuff and knew I had to have one since I’ve never seen a school bus that big. Probably the same as happened to you but CARB made any heavy duty diesel over 10k lbs go away. I actually talked to the people at the bus yard and they were told they were to sell them out of state or scrap them. They had a few that were converted to automatics and 4 stroke Cummins and was also the first time I ever saw a crown broken down but I haven’t seen them since. I figured since because of that crap I would never get a Crown so I commissioned the plush here but I’m still going to try to find a tandem axle crown but I’m the weird one in that I want to restore it as a bus and put it in shows and things just like a classic car.
