Giovanni is the current ruler of Melchiore. He is the Head Priest and the Monarch in one person.
He was born in a not very rich family in Melchiore and brought with him both joy and fear for his family.
Since only an albino could ascend to the throne in Melchiore, Giovanni’s parents feared that if aristocrats found out about their son,
they would take him to raise a candidate for king. Giovanni grew up far away from the public eye with his older brother and younger sister,
but parents couldn't hide the child forever and due to unfortunate circumstances neighbors learned about the child and surrendered the child for a reward.
Giovanni was torn from the family and began to prepare to overthrow the King.
Giovanni grew up a well-mannered young man, but he was particularly cunning and calculating.
He grew up "right" according to sovahs, and it helped him overthrow the King, as the "foster" family believes.
Under the laws of Melchiore, Giovanni lost all contact with everyone he knew after the ascension of the throne.
However, he remembered his real family and arranged a secret meeting with his parents to say goodbye forever, and to serve the God of Eclipse.
He renounced his foster family when he challenged the previous king to a duel, because he had only two ways: to became the King or die.
For the moment, he has ruled Melchiore for 18 years and there is no sovah yet to overthrow him, but Giovanni feels that his time will soon come...
Sovahs have no concept of "bad" or "good" ruler, because in their opinion, all of them are ruled by the God of Eclipse,
whose choices they dare not contradict. So it's difficult to say what kind of ruler Giovanni is. However, his personality is considered to be rather ambiguous,
because being near him makes adults uncomfortable, but younger generations feel comfortable and safe.
Giovanni loves children and remembers his own family.
