EDIT: Just informed...they will not let me have him. We simply have too many animals right now, and while we have the cage more then big enough for the two to share, for some reason my parents just don't want another. Surely I'm not the only one who knows that Rats are happiest in pairs, please tell me you guys know this too, right?! No one around here believes me. They think I'm just trying to use that as an excuse to get another.

We already have one rat, his name is Diesel. He is a hooded rat, with black and white markigns. Today I went to Specks to get him a new cage, this one much bigger. Diesel is my sister's rat. And well...he seems very lonely even though she gets him out regularly every day for some play time. When he's put up in his cage, all he does is sleep despite plenty of toys and a huuuuge running wheel. Well. When I was at the store, I saw the most gorgeous, adorable, and loving creme colored rat with splotches on him of creme. He had a creme stripe down his back from between his ears to the base of his tail. It was instant love.

I'm hoping to get this fella as a playmate for Diesel, and a little furry friend for myself to perch on my shoulder and just have fun with cause I love ratties. Wish me luck!
