First attempt to animate one of my drawings!

Hope I get better at this, and maybe I buy an animation software I've been looking for if I see I'm using animations more often ^^ (Is a little bit expensive for me right now, but if I'm going to use it for commissions and I animate drawings more often I surely will buy it :3)
I know quality isn't quite good, but original version was too heavy for uploading here :/

Yeah, but Spine is more specific for what I mean to make on animations (I think).
AE is really good on special effects, but I lack of knowledge on how to use it properly.
Luckily you only have to pay for Spine once, and if I want to enter any indie video game developement in the future it will be helpful to already have it ^^ (To be honest I'm trying to learn a little bit before buying it, and making time to see if in december they make any kind of discount).

Definitely the right way to go. And don't worry, you'll get there if you practise. The tutorials for both programs aren't always the best, and sometimes you find the best things just by messing around.
Oh and you can export dynamic/reactive meshes from Spine2D to flash, java, gamemaker etc So blobs and stuff that deform precisely where they hit in game, I managed to get some very basic stuff working but it was hard to juggle two jobs and learn it.
They're also really lightweight versus traditional spritesheets.
