How'd I wind up with all these damn Athlons (and one Duron)?
A Quick pic (should have used macro) of some of the old Athlon (750, 1200, 2000, 2200) and one Duron 1300 I've somehow wound up collecting since 1999. BTW I never overclocked them.
I should just give them away to anyone who wants them (drop me a private message) now that I've finally upgraded almost all my computers to Athlon II tri and quad cores. I still have one using a XP3000+ that I built for my parents for learning computer and business software. It's fast enough for them.

No mine didn't, by 2000 when I bought my 750 T-bird and an Abit KT7 motherboard, most CPU's had the cache inside the chip like they do today.
But back in 1996, I bought an "Opti Viper" motherboard with a Cyrix 166 CPU that came with a 256 kb module. It was a really junk motherboard, but my local dealer had a great deal on them!
