I usually make him an angel but I wanted to add a new 'twist'...heh-heh

Since I drew TwistedCupid in Savage times, I was inspired to draw the character inspired by a real kool pal who is a punk-rock writer as a savage.

Here he is with his long knives & dressed in garb that I was inspired by, in a mix of cultures.
He may seem vicious but in actuality, he is protective. I have this thing in my head where anthro pilgrims come to a strange new world… & confront strange beings, one that is these savage winged beings.

Most of the times, I drew Gungregory as a cherubim, but then I started to read mythology & wanted to put in a new spin.

He is more like a sphinx or Harpy like creature, yet still very human-like.

His swords are made of a jade like material, the same I saw the Polynesian warriors use from deadliest warriors, with the blades of a ceramic stone.

The show inspired allot of the gab I drew here.

I also have the thought that these beings collect tails for status. The collection of tails shows their prowess. The anthro- pilgrims entered into their territory, they were not as welcoming as the pilgrim of our history was. There was not a peaceful Thanksgiving, lets just say. As you can see, this one has a few collections of tails. Therefore, you know he has won a few fights.

These savages also do not turn away any new sources of meat…even anthro…
I mixed allot of what I read & drew from “Deadliest Warriors,” one where one group would cannibalize their enemies.

It was a hard mix, but I wanted to give him a punk like feel along with the savage look.

In addition, I think war paint is sexy to draw. The whole video from Kenya West, “Love Lockdown” was awesome with the warriors dancing around.

I may begin a “Savage” series.
