Sometimes, someone posts a meme and it makes you revisit an OC you haven't thought about in a decade. Meet Hylde the Hydra!
Name: Hylde
Species: Draconid, Hydran
Age: 7 Cycles (roughly 100 earth-years)
Sex: F
Pronouns: She/Her
Height: 8 ft
Weight: 700 lbs
Sexuality: Yes
Profession: Gladiatrix, Concubine
Aliases: The Bleeding Heart, The Trident
Hylde came from lowly origins, born to unknown parents and sold to service in an arena at an early age. Over her decades, she learned the gladiator's arts: war, showmanship, and sensuality. Her natural capabilities of durability and regeneration served her well during her early fights; despite often winding up seriously wounded, her sheer durability meant her less sturdy opponents wound up dead or unable to fight, while she simply learned from her mistakes and moved on. As she rose to fame, she began to attract more and more attention as a fighter and a bed-partner; both suited her well, and rather than purchasing her freedom, she first used her winnings to purchase an owning share in the arena where she fought. As she continued to amass wealth and power, she earned many new aspects to her reputation: a spot in The King's Harem, a side job instructing the Royal Guard in the arts of combat and "diplomacy", and a rumor that she is one of 9 demigoddesses cut from the neck of the Hydra God. While that last one might not be strictly true, it's one Hylde has claimed to be true since the early days of her career.
Personality Quirks: While Hylde only has one personality, her three heads acting in unison, she is incapable of having an internal debate: instead of mulling things over in her brain to make a decision, in times of uncertainty her heads will adopt polarized opinions on whatever she's considering and viciously argue the topic, resulting in a temporary partitioning of her personality and willpower. When decapitated, her decision making abilities are drastically reduced: not only does she suffer as one might expect from the loss of a third of her brain, her ability to consider an option from multiple viewpoints is hampered by the loss of a debate partner. While problematic, this does offer an upside: having only one head makes her incredibly decisive (if foolhardy). To access these powers of bravado, Hylde will autodecapitate two of her heads when faced with anxiety inducing decisions. She is quite arrogant, and when she doesn't believe her opponent's weapons can harm her, will choose to fight naked for the extra show. Like all dragonkin, she loves fine things, and enjoys lounging with a lover on a bed of gold, silks, and feather cushions as a way to cool down after a bout.
So this is Hylde! I'll probably draw more of her in the future once I figure out how to simplify her design because those speckles are so time consuming to draw. I have no idea who The King is yet, so I'm open to suggestions! I might also flesh out the setting, we will see.

Yep! Three brains as far as organs go, but only one person across them all. She's very good at multitasking, though, since she can effectively partition her intelligence across her heads; though she gets pretty ditzy whenever she does it, she technically can carry 3 conversations simultaneously, and when having one conversation her heads will alternate which is speaking seemingly at random so long as they aren't occupied with eating, drinking, or otherwise using her mouth.
