I don't think any dragon ever really gets used to the feeling of changing alone, late at night. Scales enveloping their skin and pulling their muscles and bones as they become what they know they truly are~
A sketchy thing I lost motivation for a while back, but picked up and quickly finished this morning ^^ Enjoy!

I’ve always wondered what it feels like to transform. Is it a gradual process, changes happening at a constant rate?
Or maybe it starts out slow but builds up in ever-increasing steps until you hit a point of no return where all the changes flow out in quick succession, like a metaphorical, shapeshifting orgasm, where you’re left gasping for air, too overwhelmed by what just happened to think of anything else for a few moments?

From what I imagine, I feel it would be similar to the latter. Needing to encourage yourself to begin the process of transformation, but feeling it become easier - more natural - to exist in your new form as more of you changes; to the point where, like you say, it becomes impossible to stop, and you need to ride it out to the end~
