Meh, I personally *being the self critique of majority of my work* hate how this one came out, it seems incomplete, but I dunno what else to do with it, so heres the somewhat finished design for all to see, hope you guys like it more then me :3

It is rather nice but I see what you mean about it. It does feel like it lacking something in it. ... From what I can tell off the bottom bits are shadows but even then it still feels like it's lacking down there. .. Maybe it's all the bright, pretty things at the top and barely anything at the bottom.
I did that before actually before adding a different color, but for some reason it didn;t work hard to explain, majority of my works don;t really make sense to be honest, its more the actual design aspect I focus, but I myself know that this was more of a bad output in the end. And I guess its good to show the crappy art you do too instead of all the good :3
Hmm. Atleast you tried it. *nodders*... See, that's one of those things that irk me about art and making it. I'll end up absolutely something that I've done but others say it's good and praise it. :/

I think the lines at the bottom should be a tiny bit brighter, as i can barely see them.
Alternatively, with the empty black part, I view it as some form of smoke/darkness rising up covering the bottom part of the picture, the shiny light green just barely coming through as a dark brown. This one kinda depends how you look at it, IMO
