Note: So, once again I am sad to say that there a number of mistakes on this piece, I DID note the artist, they have refused to make changes. I would have been happy to have paid for the extra changes, but no was their final word. The eyes: the pupil is supposed to be heart shaped, and the colors between the iris and pupil are reversed. The bite mark is missing 'the actual teeth marks', my collar is missing, and the BIGGEST part is that my cores are missing. I am not sure how one misses this on a CLEAN and FULL ref sheet, but here we are. The interaction between them and I wasn't all that great either:
Artist:eye details weren't clear at first glance, and I thought the core was a thing with the outfit
Then I sent all the information above, hoping they were leaning towards fixing it, the response I received was:
Artist: well, I"ll try and remember that next time
Why not just say no I am not going to fix them rather than get my slightest of hopes up? I was REALLY looking forward to this piece and although no, it is not completely wasted...I DO look damn good in it. It was also a massive disappointment. I am EXTREMELY hesitant to recommend this artist to anyone else in the future, as well as future pieces with them.
Photoshoot: While having a time on the beach for a day off, the dusk shaded lapin happened to stroll across a swimsuit shoot for a magazine. The photographer who had spotted her flagged her down, recognizing her as a prized student and the operator of a local radio station with a massive following and popular show. Asking with a bit of shyness but with full professionalism if she wouldn't mind taking a few, she happily agreed and began taking different poses, this being the one that made the best angle in the photographers eyes, what do you guys think? Ah geez it does sound like an awful experience!!! I have barely commissioned... Once, and it was ok because I'm normally the commissioned one but it's always so scary to hear these kinds of stories... I'm really hoping that your next transactions and commissions turn out a lot better! ♥️ The pic doesn't look bad at least but I'm sorry for the missing details!
It was, it is not the first time it's happened. I just remembered that this same artist missed something with another piece they did for me and a friend: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36330912/ the collar is missing, most thought it was the ring atop her neck, except the tag is missing, the collar would not sit there because gravity would not allow it, the collar is red not black, and she doesn't have a ring up there PERIOD.
Here's hoping the next ones come out alot better, yes! Most of them are coming from my most trusted artist so I have no doubt they will be amazing as always. Thank you! I do look good, despite the missing details and pieces.

That's a huge ton of missing stuff and inconvenients tho! It's just not a bit or something the artist skipped. The list is long and it happened in the past aswell! I don't mean to sound rude but maybe commissioning that same artist has way too many problems if they bother you D: but I really hope that the new pieces you're waiting from your trusted artist come out so good they make you forget about the problems! ♥️ And you're welcome! You do look really really cute and good indeed♥️
Indeed, sadly I had to take a chance. Seeing as they 'like many I have commissioned' cannot follow a ref sheet and or context given. I am now down to two artists I know I can trust, I don't know who I can rely on for art anymore. Be it that they are lazy, don't care or simply don't read or understand anything given to them. Me trying new artists without a LOT of reviews and thumbs up has become a HUGE risk.
This is a nice piece, however it is unfortunate that the piece wasn't the one that you where looking for. I do understand the working rule that if I pay for a piece I would like it to be as close to what I picture it to be. The missing things seem to be small change but I don't know the artist procedure, so I cant say. I tend to stick to artist that have gotten right a few time and know how the character looks so they work out well for me. But in the end you were able to get a good piece even if its not the great piece that you had envisioned.
Well this artist sadly messed up on two pieces that included me, so as much as I love their work I doubt I will be returning to them. Finding artists one can trust and rely on is quite the challenge it seems these days. This particular artist even had a number of good reviews before I even commissioned them the FIRST time, I'm not sure if those reviews were blowing smoke or if I'm just an unfortunate anomaly.
I think context should be supplied with a reference sheet when it comes to commissioning artists when it comes to a one-and-done deal like this. Artists are not mind readers.
I've had the same deal before of missing details, but that is simply because I neglected to mention the context. The fault was my own, not the artist's.
I would like to say though, that since this was their Blitz format, their TOS does outline procedure when it comes to things like this. I'm not trying to start things, just providing some thoughts on the matter.

Last time I applied context with an artist is bluntly ignored, or was never delivered because it had to go from me - to someone else then to the artists secretary THEN to the artist. I Did have a bit of a feeling that I should have said something but since the variant of a ref sheet I gave them was with my powers INACTIVE I thought it would be obvious.
