Putting this one right into the scraps.
g-hyena expressed interest in seeing photos of my Prius from when I took it off roading. This is the only one I could find and I was pretty bummed since its not the full sized image. :<
Anyway this was taken in the early morning in the Mojave Desert after doing some off roading with my 2007 Toyota Prius. No mods or anything, just the factory car. I only got stuck in sand once and made it about 7 miles into the trail before reaching a section that had partially collapsed and there was no possible way my Prius could make it any further.
Anything can go off roading if you know how to drive it. :x

I'd have to disagree with your statement. I know how to drive on different surfaces rather well. snow, boulders and clay/sand and gravel. I have track as well as rally experience.
Now year 2008 visiting in Denver with a 2007 Prius rental car with studded tires I drove up a snowy driveway to the hotel, got nearly to the top and then the prius proceeded to slide backwards all the way down the hill despite the traction control and ABS working as hard as they could XD not 5 minutes later a like 1990 Nissan Sentra with economy tires drive up the driveway with ease then followed by a RWD 80's F-150 with no traction tires. The prius is way too heavy for anything other than onroad driving imo, dont think I'm excluding the prius though I've had issues like that on a lot of hybrids. Toyota highlander hybrid dont get me started.
Good to see it's being put to some actual use though. did anyone run across you on the trail and were like "what the hell is a prius doing out here?" XD

Snow is way more tricky to drive in than the desert is. Even still I drove my Prius over the Rocky Mountains during a snow storm without snow tires or even chains. This was when they had signs flashing saying chains were required. >_> It was easily the most nerve wracking driving I've ever done because of the conditions but the Prius had no problems at all. When we got to the other side someone who lived in Montana told me they wouldn't have even tried to pass the mountains in their SUV because the storm was so bad.
This car has gone everywhere I've taken it with ease and I've only ever gotten stuck twice. A push was all it took to get out. And yes I had plenty of trucks passing me in the desert looking at me strange, lol. I was going much slower than everyone else I encountered.

That's awesome XD and yeah, I prefer driving in deserts and stuff like that, granted I have a Subaru so I have one of the best AWD systems ever made so snow and stuff like that isnt a challenge. only real challenge I've ever had was my Mustang, I decided to see how it would handle in the snow and got caught in a blizzard.... yeah 491 horsepower on performance semi-slick road/track tires... that was pretty scary XD didn't ever get stuck, but was sideways almost everywhere.
