Marie, a normal human girl, get’s pulled into the world of TDC One night, while binge-watching the series (again) During a freaky fall thunderstorm, creating some supernatural portal.
Where she ends up being found by Mal, (Which makes her question things. As she realizes she has end up in the first act, and he doesn’t come till later. Now it has her wondering about the things behind the scenes, we never see.) who drags her drags before the Emperor, and the others.
Marie ends up tricking them she is a seer, to protect herself. When she pretty much knows the series like the back of her hand. And is carefully picking and choosing the events, to make it look like she’s all-seeing. When in reality they are just a Netflix series. she plans to play them all, for a bit. Till she finds a way to return back to our world.
She soon realizes, there is more to this world than expected. When she thought she knew the series well, she didn’t account for stuff behind scenes. (You know, like when the camera pans off, or a scene goes black, or switches.)
As she is also aware her presence here has already messed up the balance of things, and the ongoing plot.

So when Marie isn’t playing the role of Seer for the Emperor, she spends most of her with OK. Because if you work him right, Is the most sympathetic one, of them all. And could have an ounce of honor as well. But she had to really work him well! Plus she remember his Library, thinking. ‘Maybe one of his books can show me how to get out of here?’ So she convinced him to give her a crash course on their language.
But of course, she leaves out her true reason behind this. And instead tells him it just makes sense, since she is now their Emperor’s personal Seer and he’s the Historian+Scroll-keeper, they both have a similar duty to ‘ the written word’ in away, though not fully. While adding on to her statement. “..Plus, I do enjoy fast reading and reading new interesting material “ (that part wasn’t a lie, on her part)
She develops a hard to explain trust with him. Though still carefully protecting herself, not letting herself be fooled by his words. But Marie is slowly is letting him in without even realizing it. And she is being rather foolish, at times. But she knows she has to pretend to flatter him. As well, as to trick him, into thinking, that he has managed to trick her.
Even so, she still comes running to him, when needing an ally, or some form of protection, when feeling uneasy and scared, or having a strange feeling that she may be- being spied on by the others, especially the Chamberlin. And chooses remain hidden in his library, when she isn’t working her facade for the Emperor, or sleeping her own chambers.
And OK himself is doing the exact same thing, as she. He is using her too. For his own entertainment. He does find her as a fascinating study and her love of knowledge and books and learning. And being the only one of Species upon this land is also curious to him.
Ironically it seems they have tricked themselves, contradicting their own secret (original) plans, and thoughts. She pleases him even more. Since it’s not just him, by all his lonesome self, he now has Maire to join his long lonely nights.
Hoping maybe, she could possibly become his pet, one day. One that he wouldn’t abuse either. As he has learned by the others, if he wants to her stay he has to be nice and gentile.
