the main cover for the Graphic novel i write Yapa about a science fiction universe that takes inspiration from native mythology.. in tone and style it is sort of like Disney meets kemino anime, with some adult humor and romantic comedy tropes. it centers around a race of ferret people called the kushtaka after the Tlingit myth, , in Yapa they come from an planet called TuRR, a lush tropical planet with the environment of Hawaii or Okinawa. my main characters are kolohe an enchanting kushtaka girl , Jet a working office stiff on vacation and captain kit, kushtaka incompetent space pirate comic relief. I plan on expanding the universe with planets based on different indigenous cultures. the other creatures native to these planets are meant to resemble the Jim Henson or star wars prequel style of creature creation . They look li Sometimes dignified sometimes cute ,wacky or fetishy , always a labor of love
