This and the surrounding image uploads shows a recent commission project for AzulBlueThing on Twitter who asked that I take the existing design for their character and revamp it a bit. On this page I'm moving beyond the initial head design and thinking about the body proportions as well as the shapes on an individual and overall level. The original character was somewhat tall and lanky and after incorporating some feedback came to a design look that was more squat and pyramid shaped. I'm still thinking about design motifs and priority of shape values, so this is where I was thinking about the size of the ears, how bulky the arms and legs would be, and the size and swoop of the hair.
