Decided that I needed to make something for myself after all the craziness I've been going through. I have a medcard for my state and it really helps me through a lot of the mental, emotional, and physical pain I have to deal with.

So about a month ago my mother and my cousin got hit by a drunk driver in their way home from a late night family gathering. My cousin was injured in a few places but is recovering very nicely. My mother on the other hand was in such bad condition after the collision that the crushed metal had to be cut with the jaws of life in order to get her free. Her fibula (lower leg bone) was sticking out of her ankle, shards of glass were embedded into her leg, she had a concussion, and her rib cage was fractured about 4-5 ribs on one side. After 7 hours of surgery and much panic when I wasn't hearing news of her consistently from my family we finally got word. No one was able to visit her for most of the first week because she was in such poor condition that they didn't want any guests to excite her and cause more injury.

So after all of this I had to struggle and fight with the car rental company to get a suitable vehicle that she could get into with only one usable leg from the ground so I could pick her up from the hospital. Now I am here at her place for 3 months while she recovers. I am sorry I haven't been around but I plan to catch up with commissions and start some comic teasers
