This piece is wonderful. The door is amazing, it's like it could lead to something of your imagination, or your biggest nightmare. Leading to nowhere but a void would be just as confusing as being led to anywhere.
Stepping through, would you be able to turn around and see the door again if you were led into the abyss? Or would you be shrouded in so much darkness that not even the light from the other side could lead you back through?
Once again however, your art is just as amazing as it always has and always will be. Keep up the absolutely amazing work, presto!

As soon as the rest of the world is out of your field of view, you're completely in there -- no turning back. As for where it leads, who knows? Maybe somewhere else in the world, or in another time, or maybe in someone's imagination...
I really enjoy painting things that invoke mystery, curiosity, and maybe a little bit of supernatural dread. Thanks for the feedback!

No problem! I completely agree with you though! These last few paintings that you have done, although may have been inspired from a low time in your life, are extremely detailed and ingenious. They provoke a lot of emotion with little things, but all of those small details lead up to a massive wave of thoughts and ideas.
Maybe it's like a metaphorical conflagration of thoughts that are provoking bad emotions to come out once inside the door? Could be~
For some reason, walking into the door, and taking your route of finding nothing actually sparked an idea in my head, of just a single white rose, sitting in the spotlight, with nothing else behind it, or around it, just darkness. Simplicity, but on the outside, it's terror and fear of the unknown.

On one hand, I really like the sparse and open nature of this piece, it draws the eyes to the center-piece: the mysterious glowing door of a building you want to recognize but you can't, with the trees (as lovely as they are) providing little distraction from the focus.
On the other hand, I feel like if I walk through that door, I'll be teleported to one of the bases at Beaver Creek in Halo: CE.
