He knew he was close to his destination when he had seen the blue forest. It had been exciting to see on the horizion, nestled up in the foot of the mountains, and though finding the immensly flooded waterways was a bit worrisome at first, he pressed forward. Surely then, what a thrill it was to see the rubble was still mostly intact, the glint of great polished gemstones still proudly shining from their positions.
Degana had been hearing of this place in rumors lately, and knew he had to find it, even if what was left of the place was little more than overwatered stonework. He was content to meander around slowly, giving a thoughtful gaze to the trees that stood over like gaurdians, and looking to the colorful plants that dutifully filled their pots. He brushed a hand along one of the lilies, admiring their beauty in this isolated place, and wondered what manner of place this had once been...
