a Kobukik in a small tribe from Northwestern Alaska doin some alchemy for a local medicinal alchemical known as "Croqeq" or also known as "Dark Scale" and it is a medicine that is meant more for patching up wounds, when chewed and wetted (usually with saliva) it turns into a viscous fluid that soaks into a wound and forms a sort of "plate", sorta like a caulk leaving a big black patch that will later need to get yanked off as things heal up
but it is a common medicine that is used in a wide variety of wounds, from cuts and scraps to larger external traumas (even if patching that amputated leg doesn't do much, it's better than nothing)
the Alchemical is specifically made through a Mix of Crowberry, Southern Alaskan Ivy, bone marrow, and sometimes things like Romator and Frozen mold, some tribes also throw in various fungi though this doesn't have a tangible use and is more of a regional superstition matter
but the ingredients are mashed together with ice mana and peat from some of the bogs in the region the kobukiks live until it's a relatively doughy material
that is then melted over a fire, the ice mana alchemically reacts with that heat and turns into more of a glue like substance, combined with the chemicals latent in the southern Alaskan Ivy and the crowberry it turns into something not unlike pine pitch
and lastly the bone marrow helps with liquifying it in use and, shen charged with mana, speeds up cell production.
This particularly alchemical wouldn't become prominent in the region until around 25pa ish in Alaska and would be discovered in the village of Nulato on the Yukon River. one of the younger 2nd gen drekir in that village took a liking to alchemistry and, just fiddling with ideas would piece this together
