Written by Hedy West, this song became a great hit for Peter Paul & Mary. Rightfully so since the version they do is incredibly good. This was requested by:

I have been trying to catch uo to all the submissions I have not seen since april...over 4,000. I just thought I would pass this little note along. It brought back a few memories. I remember singing this back in elementary school... when it was still new! Say anything bad and I will beat you over the head with my cane, if I could find the damn thing behind the walker! };=)
Well shit man, my stuff has gotten quite a bit better over the last year:) I am proud of just about all of it but man thats a lot of submissions to go through.
I wish I had been around back then. I honestly think I would have been happier:) The 60s and 70s were great decades for good music.

Hell, we had an talent show when I was in the 6th grade. It was pretty special, it was at night and all the parnets were there. I remember vividly being on stage with two of my classmates and we all sang "Blowing in the wind" and yes, there were a few lines we all sang solo. Talk about ancient history! }:=)
Yes, I remebert that time very well. Music was going through vast changes and they were all going in different directions all at the same time. Beatles, Monkees, Hermans Hermits, Beach Boys, Jan and Den, Peter,Paul and Mary, Donovan, Protest songs, Folk Music the Motown sound. It was a huge change for music. It all got turned upside down. It was a wild ride that all the parents really could not grasp. }:=)
