I have been practicing my drawing and backgrounds lately, so since I drew my evil boy, Kiba, yesterday I thought I might draw one of my favorite lioness, Tundra of the primitive Pride
Tundra lazily lay on her rock with her belly exposed to the open air as the rock warmed her back. Today was a beautiful day with warmth that made any lioness wish for one day of laziness. But sadly moments like these never lasted long.
The sounds of rustling grass caused her ears to twitch as she cracked open her left eye, still appearing as if she was still asleep.
But what she saw was the last thing she expected to see. Kiba, the young lion who had been living amongst them for weeks now, seemed to be slinking through the grass, as if returning from something. He kept casting glances over his shoulder, the way he was walking made Tundra immediately suspicious of the lion....Not that she was not already suspicious of him. But she had promised her pride sisters she would not run him off.
Knowing her moment of peace was done the lioness rolled over as she forced herself to smile and at least seem friendly to the lion she was sure was up to something.
"Hey there stranger."
She called out, taking note that he seemed jumpy as he looked over to where she was. After a few passing heartbeats he seemed to gather himself and offer one of those charming smiles.
"Why Hello there, I was not expecting to see you here."
He answered as he trotted over.
The lioness watched him carefully, noting how quickly his actions and emotions had changed instantly. Oh yes, something was definitely up.
"Well I do like to take breaks from everyone every once in a while."
she replied
"What brings you to these parts."
The lioness cast a glance in the direction the lion had come from and than back at him. Kiba seemed reluctant to answer her but did so anyways.
"Oh you know, just checking out the territory."
Yeah and I have bees for brains. she thought to herself.
"Mhmm" she rose to her paws and gave a big stretch "Well we might want to get back. They should be sending out a hunting party soon."
She jumped down and began to walk away, but not without noticing he seemed to be irritated about something. Something in those blue eyes said that the lioness had interfered with whatever he had planned to do.
"Yeah, your right."
He fell in beside her as the two walked back in silence.

The primitive pride is what they are called.
They are a breed of Lion's and lioness's that are passed the evolution of Sabers and their bulky build but not yet completely like the modern-day Lion's. They usually keep to themselves and are not accepted by modern-day prides.
Kiba is a horrible lion, he is always up to something.
So a little back story on him.
Kiba is a lion that is from a more ancient race. He was prince of the lands his race ruled from. Think of them as the gods and goddesses of these characters. But due to something he was banished by his own pride mates. He has made it his mission to wipe out the prides one by one for revenge toward his people.
Tundra caught him coming back from a meeting with some rouge lions. He is trying to put his pieces in play to start eradicating the primitive pride before moving onto another target. He always leaves one or two survivors to tell the tale in hopes it gets back to his pride mates what he is doing.

Thanks for this amazing reply!
Uhh my, Kiba really sounds like a horrible lion. But what exectly did he do, to be banished by his own pride mates?
He sure needs to put his pieces in play to strike down those tough primitive pride lions. Hopefuly Tundra chooses her next steps wisely.

That is definitely his role and purpose in my stories. But he is still one of my favorite characters.
I am still working on his back story, coming up with a definite one.
So far I have it as he was the next in line for the throne, but his younger brother wanted the power for himself. But due to his brother being respected and well loved he knew if he went through with killing his brother he would not get the power he so wants and would possibly get punished himself. So instead he set up for the king to be killed and framed Kiba. Kiba tried to deny it and prove his innocence but instead was banished by his own family.
Tundra will be fine, she is a smart lioness.
Her pride is one of the few that survive, but they survive because he finds himself actually having feelings for another and gets sloppy. But his mission must be carried out. He manages to kill a few of the pride off but thanks to Tundra's influence in the pride and and the respect others have for her she manages to work with her pride mates and save everyone. Her's has a happy ending.

His race is essentially the God's and Goddesses of the prides. The pride prays to them for answers in their time of needs. They offer guidance to those in the prides that are considered Shaman/ medicine/ or whatever term they use for their spiritual pride member. But they get their power from those they guide and believe in them. If you take out the pride, he is killing off those that believe in them and guide them they lose some power. So essentially he is trying to make them powerless and show them they are not as powerful as they think themselves to be. If he wipes out the other prides they have nothing keeping them from being immortals.
Hmm... Reading all of this gives me mixed feelings about Kiba.
I have all the sympathy for Kiba and to give his pride mates what they deserve. But murdering innocent lions is the upmost cruelty.
That's kinda like if someone tells me to f''k off because I don't believe in their religion. I would not storm into a chapel to kill all the prayers in there, just to show them that their god is worthless. Because there is no god to save them. I know it is not the best example, but I think it is kinda like that.
However, this story is very spicy. Definitely not a boring one to read.

I know what he is doing is horrible, but you always have to have a villian to the story. Plus he is a character that connects and influences other things that happens. Such as in Busara's Tribal pride he influences one of her daughters and uses some of the leaders enemies against them. He sets a lot of things in motion behind the scenes as well. He has a son with one of the primitive sabers who lives in Tundras pride. I want to make it so that he is half of the ancient race and as he seeks out to stop his father later on. But I dont want to make it so he kills his father but maybe show him revenge is not the way....have not gotten that far yet.
