So no surprise that Bubbles would get the next throne in line after Bowser Jr ends up throwing it down. And to him it seems to be that she's the best candidate as she has a lot of things going for her, with it being her kindness and attraction to animals similar to her mother and her dictator ship similar to him/her father. Phoenix on the otherhand doesn't seem to happy about it, considering he knew about her being adopted, not to mention he was technically there first biological child, to him the crown sounded much more fair. This explains alot of his and Bubbles rivalry as the two of them grew up together.
