I've been thinking about drawing some sci-fi esc landscapes. I love the romanticism behind space exploration (not the war, death, etc) and find it quite interesting. So, why not create a sort of "AU" space explorer of my main OC? He's a space explorer/scientist, surfing the cosmos and collecting geological and habitat information, among other things.

On this planet, the surface seems to be made primarily of rose quartz and sand of the same material. These cliffs are worn by the high tides, reaching heights just short of the cliff. As night falls, the tide is lower, leaving time for beach exploration. This planet seems largely lacking in fauna, other than simple grasses or micro-organisms. The sky, meanwhile, is vibrant as the sun sets. The temperature is comfortable, but the atmosphere is lacking in oxygen.
