Many a legend attest to the unstoppable magical might of the higher Dragonelle castes. Archeological evidence has found many records of the Dragonelles arrival, at the bottom of a layer of soot and ash coating an entire continent. For those that explicitly mentioned the higher castes leading the Dragonelle forces, that level of black would signify the end of the archeological record. Eonis knew all this. That was why, when reports of an approaching fleet claimed to be headed by a figure straight out of myth, she ordered an evacuation. While others scoffed, claiming that Lorimarowtharmorin was only a mythical figure of a dead civilization, she refused to heed them. It was when the shields simply fizzled out, technology simply dispelled by magic, was she proven right. If they had listened to her, the evacuation would already be finished, but now…now they need time. That's why she's now gathering every drop of magic she has, preparing to bring the storm down upon the dragon from legend. She doubts she'll be able to defeat him…but she'll buy enough time for everyone else to escape.
Chartering a warfleet is no small expense. But upon landing, the sight that greeted Lorim made giving up part of his hoard worth it. If he still had a mouth, he'd be grinning. The rumors were true! These colonists had an actual, living Dragonelle protecting them! Definitely one of the lower castes, nothing but breeding stock, before…and, if the way she's bristling and summoning up a storm is any indication, she has no idea what she is. That's fine. He'll have all eternity to teach her, if need be. Taking flight to meet her, he ignited the air around him, the sky turning into burning plasma with but a spark of magic. He'll have to see if he can avoid damaging her too badly...then...then he won't be alone anymore
