Here is another photo of the newest member of my herd, my Ovation mandolin, model MM68AX-DS. The DS stands for distressed sunburst which refers to the finish on the top, shown off especially well in this photo. You can also see the 1/4-inch jack in the tail. As Doc Brown would say, “This sucker is electrical,” but unlike his time machine it comes equipped with a built in pre-amp in place of the flux capacity. Plutonium not required.
