i was reading a bit about Steampunk today, and i found this site: http://steampunkworkshop.com/nathans-guitar-amp and i started looking at the stuff in there and got inspired to design something. and i came out with this Paint-made design of a guitar amplifier Steampunk'd.
the idea on the bottom pipes is to make the combo reclinable, so you don't need a separated stand for it.
On the cabinet's front, you can see holes that reminds those old tube radios (i go this idea from the link), and 6 lightbulbs, being 10 small-sized ones and 2 mid-size. They are connected to an Output power monitor circuit.
Inside each of the bulbs, you have a smal amber LED. They'll light up from the bottom one to the top one, depending on the power output (0.2w, 0.4w, 0.8w, 1.6w, 3w and 6w).
The 3 "valves" are knobs that control (in order from left to right) Tone, Drive and Volume. The green gem is the "power on" light indicator. You can see the Switch between the gem and the Input Jack.
On the back, we see its an open-back cabinet, so a black grill is in there to protect anyone from touching what is inside.
From left to right, we can see the Output jacks for an external cabinet (for a small gig), and a Line out for recording. On the other side are the Fuse socket and the hole for the power cable.
i made a "close up" copy for the bottom pieces that will make the rail for the positon adjustment, and in there you can see more details. The edges have bigger cuts because they'll work as "stoppers", to keep the amp secure in both positions (normal or 45° inclination),
Hope you guys like it... its my first Steampunk design and i want some opinions on it.
