So people have asked for a rough timeline of my Dragoneye story, since the pics (and corresponding storylines) that I have uploaded are not in chronological order and may be a bit confusing.

Part of my reasoning for not doing so earlier was that commission speeds have been uneven or incomplete, part of it was that going in order makes some Chekov's guns readily apparent and also spoils other plotlines, and part of it is that my story is still not complete and that I didn't write it in chronological order, so large gaps remain in the story.

Anyways here's a loose outline of Dragoneye.

It basically follows the life of my Dragon character, Meratezatgh, and his long term love/hate relationship with the human inhabitants of the neighboring town of Stanton. The story follows a 150 year period going from the High Medieval Period to the pre-Renaissance (mostly European, but with some other cultural influences) and generally follows historical trends. One of the big themes of my story is change and the ability to adapt to it, so I make a point of having a fantasy setting where technological and scientific development proceeds and affect the situation.

The timeline is inter spliced with the important parts of the main storyline. Mera and Stanton's interaction with each other varies depending on the stressors placed upon them, including war, famine, plague, fanaticism and revolution, and can be generally broken into five sections:

1. Dragoneye: (1325-1327) establishes the equilibrium relationship between my human protagonist Logan Durham, and Mera and the Town of Stanton.

2. Fire Across the Valley: (1329-1333) the dragon and town are faced with a massive war that consumes everything in its path.

3. Long Time Coming: (1333-1351) the consequences of the choices made during and in the aftermath of the Great War reverberate through the decades.

4. Broken Wings: (1372-1393) desperation and fanaticism that arise from the Scarlet Plague threaten everything the Mera and Stanton have ever fought for.

5. Changing Tides: (1422-1425) a embittered Mera is called to action once more by Logan's granddaughter Jayna Durham.
