I've been trying to draw a decent picture of this character for a while, now. Part of the difficulty stems from the fact that she has wings, and I just don't really have much practice there. Plus her outfit was sorta complicated, so I needed reference for that, too.
This is one of my villain characters from City of Villains. She's a Fire/Thermal Corruptor, for those who are interested in such things.
While there's a few things about this picture I'm not completely satisfied with, on the whole, it works. One of these days I ought to color a picture of her.

...you should just simplify her outfit, then. That would make it easier for you. I think I've made some suggestions along those lines before. :P
It's a good picture. It's good that you finally got one done of her that you like. Also, you're far too critical of your own stuff. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this picture, except that it needs to be colored someday...along with many others that you've done.

It looks like you erased and re-drew her right foot a few times; I can see how the asymmetry could be frustrating, but needed for the pose.
Is she looking at the viewer or looking down? To me it seems the latter, surveying what's below her, and to me that's what really makes the pose. I'd say it turned out really well, especially given the anatomical detail of the wings.

I redrew both her legs several times, but the lack of symmetry I'd complain about is that the lower-arm parts of her wings aren't at the same angle.
I don't actually like how her feet came out, but I'm thinking that's partly because I'd rather have both feet slightly more centered, and the legs are at the wrong angle for that.
She's looking down at some poor sap who's about to find himself on fire.

Now that's a villain to look up too. But I have to agree with NecrosVanshoon, as cool as the outfit looks, as painful it must be to get into it.
If the wings are the result of your "lack" of practice, I can't imagine what future wings would look like, because they look pretty awesome to me. Maybe a bit too small for her size and weight, but the structure itself is correct.

Well, yes, there are a lot of belts involved. I can only assume she has a minion or two to help her get into and out of the thing, especially considering it has belts on the back, too.
As for the wings, well, I did some research and some reference sketches, and I've done several pictures of this character before now. This is the first one on which her wings looked good, though. They might only look small because of the fact that the ends are curved towards the viewer, so if they were spread out, they'd look a lot wider. They'd also be off the sides of the page, which is why I didn't do that. =P

Oh, I did take the curved position into consideration, just wanted to pull your leg there.
Characters with wings can never look realistic and cool at the same time. Therefore I am actually glad most artist, like yourself, prefer to visualize them cool looking and with style.
I just tend to over-analyze things sometimes, it's a bad habit of mine.

Well, the fire part is the fact that she can shoot fire from her hands, thus giving her enemies the gift of flame.
The thermal radiation part is the fact that she can set fire to her allies, which can heal them, give them fire shields that resist damage, free them from status effects and increase their damage, thus giving her allies the gift of flame.
