Loved the fact that 3 more female characters were discovered in Star Fox 2! But Why was an African American woman Among the Roster? Was that meant to be a joke, or was this an Unfinished character Concept?
I won't call Nintendo out on offenses that I don't truly understand, but of this was some sort of mistake on their part, then I'm glad this character was quietly hidden away.

When Star Fox 2 was developing, the world view of Star Fox was still vague.
Nintendo games may not dare to set the detailed settings in the play. That also applies to the Star Fox SFC series.
So I imagine the staff painted a human female when they developed the prototype.
However, the adoption of human female characters has been postponed.
I think it was good.
However, many characters such as sheep, rough collies, buffalo and gazelle were rejected at the same time.
It's a bit disappointing.

Certainly could've kept the Border Collie if they wanted secret characters. I mean, that would've been interesting to see, especially since a game like Star Fox would thrive off of some awesome Unlockable Ships and Characters. The series could definitely use alot more of that these days.
Hey, as someone who has access to Star Fox 2's leaked source code and graphical assets from the gigaleak, I figured I might as well try to clear up some confusion here: The women sketches by Masano Arimoto were actually placeholders used to create Miyu and Fay's designs during development after they scrapped the idea of integrating Fara Phoenix from the Nintendo Power comic by Ashura Benimaru Itoh into the game. Internally, Miyu and Fay's character slots were referred to as "gal_1" and "gal_2" throughout development, which matches up with the character-Lhg#.CGX filenaming of the graphic banks.
