Here you can see the top plate.
This is a gong-fu style tea tray I built from acrylic scraps. I mapped it out on paper and then used CorelDraw to rebuild the design and print the parts on a laser cutting machine. I then used 123 blocks and sandpaper backed with medium density fiberboard to sand the surfaces where I had to weld flat, so that way the welds would be strong and watertight.
The tray has a removable top so one can decant the waste water. It is built so I can pour fluid into the basin, and makes tea ceremonies possible.
I use it every day in my room to share the beauty and love of tea with my roommates and friends, and multiple times per week to serve tea in the lobby of my dorms, where everyone has a lovely time sampling the nectar of other cultures. What a fantastic use of the scrap acrylic! I intend to revamp the design.

Wow! You not only know what a Gong-fu style teatray is but you made one yourself!
If we weren't married lesbians we would have just proposed to you!
We prefer the Japanese style tea ceremony for our personal at home use and the Satyr makes our ceramics for that purpose. :)
