I am unsure if i got the message across, so i will try to clarify (i tend to be unsure a lot, sorry):

this is a single piece, i was referring to "part 2 of the comic" because it's over there that the actual death and rebirth happen.

Ahahaha. I was making a joke about the character dying and having a robot made in their image by going for the most exaggerated cause of death I could think of, I love the art!

Though that does raise a question. Are the two more or less the same entity or is it an Astroboy type deal?
If this is considered too big of a spoiler feel free not to answer.

The new one has the memories of the old, she is not the same person, and she never believed in "souls" anyway.
What is giving her power, so that she never needs to be winded? And how can she retain memories, when the body is unable to store such a large quantity of data?
The answer is (obviously) "magic".
The same thing which built her from her dead body and transferred the memories.
But.

"What is magic?"

That is the one question that haunts her. She knows what she does not know.
And it terrifies her, because, deep down, she believes she is alive because the soul of her dead body is being used to power her mechanisms.
And she is not really "herself".
Just a machine that uses her soul in a mockery of life.

She wants to know, but she is afraid that she could find out that this would be the answer.

Problem is... she cannot know... because she has no means to analyze "magic".

Ahh. Yeah, I imagine most people wouldn't take well to magic debatablely resurrecting you in a mechanical form and not knowing if you're actually you or a hideous cosmic joke.

Mostly... something along these lines went in her head:

Ok. So.
Resurrection is possible.
Magic is real.
I helped build these things and i know the limits of the data storage and the behavior programming.
So.
At this point.
Are souls real too?
And did mine get used to power this robot or just to imprint it?
And what is magic?
Is it manipulation of the soul?
If it is manipulation... and my soul is powering the robot... is it a 2-way thing?
Or do i just store and retrieve memories from it and it is being tormented by a life it is not living while also suffering... whatever... to power somebody else and store its memories?
Do i have a slave forced to stay within me forced to know what i do while also being leashed to crank my gears?
If my soul was used just to imprint me and this "magic" is being used to store the information and programming...
Where did my soul go? Did i just destroy an immortal soul to be born?
And is magic going to wane, so i am going to lose my mind slowly turning into nothing more than a puppet?
What about damage?
Gears are not eternal, what is damage to my internal mechanisms going to do to me as my programming and deliberation deteriorates?
Do i have some form of magical version of "natural healing" along with being in a robotic body?
What if there is no damage but i get bumped in the wrong spot or at the wrong time and i lose some of the movable pins on the programming wheel?
How is something like that going to affect my memories and behavior?
What about if i do not heal, and i need maintenance to my brain gears... can i be stopped to get opened up and receive maintenance to any of those sensible parts?
Or would that "kill" me, by dissipating the magic/soul/whatever?
What if...
