It would be an understatement to say I've put a lot of time into the Destiny franchise at this point. With Destiny 2 going free to play there's lots of people I know that jumped in, and missed basically everything (good or bad) in the first title. So for my Adventure series on Twitch I decided that playing through the first one would be fun. Getting to talk about its growth, issues its had, and community adventures that you had to be there to fully appreciate. As with any of the Adventure series I drew a bit of art to commemorate the time we had over the weeks~

I mean its not just doubling down, they outright said there won't be a Destiny 3. They're going to keep iterating on Destiny 2.
They've brought forwards new guns a lot without changing them. Bad Juju is almost entirely unchanged, just some tweaks to how strong its perk is on charging your super. Hawkmoon is an exception because they outright refuse to put RNG into the damage of the weapons like one-in-the-chamber. Which is entirely how Hawkmoon worked! Invective does do one thing that they seem averse to, free ammo. So it if did come back it would have something like Subsistence and some other new perk just to keep it in line with "work for your ammo" type deal.

Eh ya can easily read between the lines and see that they don't want to close the door on a D3 completely, sure there focus is indeed on iterating D2 but it's blatantly clear they metaphorically have "make D3" stored in one of those fire emergency cabinets that says "in case of a emergency break glass" for if the DCV plan doesn't pan out as planned.
As for what D1 exotics I'd like to see returned I hope to see both Universal Remote and No Land Beyond return, exotics thar takes weapon types out of there typical ammo economy.
