I hope it is a terrific model store, I got the encore kit from a commissioned sale. They say the original kit came out in 68.

Well, there was a version of the manned V-1 that carried the same 50mm flak cannon that the Me-262 A1a/U4 did.
It cannon was mounted in the nose of the V-1, and basically the idea was to point the V-1's launcher either head on or tail on at an incoming bomber force and fire it into the air. The pilot would then fly the V-1 into the bombers and fire the flak cannon...basically the idea was to give Germany a huge force of "jet interceptors" while preserving their supplies of strategic materials.
A single mock up was built, but none of them ever flew.

Indeed. XD
Legendary test pilot Hanna Reitsch took the manned V-1 (the one you have, with the explosvies) on its one and only test flight and said it was a difficult aircraft to fly, even with her skills. The version with the 50mm flak cannon would have been no different, so its combat effectiveness would have been minimal at most.
