Graveyard Fields, between Black Balsam, and Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. I had no hope of getting a decent shot off for sunset earlier, all the overlooks were crowded, the sun was out of position at many others. So, instead of settling for a particular scene, I determined I would take a chance with a sunset where I knew the sun would be down behind a peak before I could get my camera ready. I creates a strange look as the shadows creep down the mountains, and the valley fills with darkness....
