If you are my age, or even thereabouts, you grew up on a swing! For me, I have been blessed to have had several really awesome ones. A half dozen or so porch swings, which are lovely to enjoy with that special friend over bowls of ice cream on a hot summer afternoon or with that special someone when the nights are just barely cooler than the days. An old tire swing at a hideaway out in the middle of Bumfuck nowhere! Like Devil's Chin, which had the twenty foot tire swing that even the most insane people would only ride ... or the ridiculously outrageously stupid. Or even the one made with love by your Pop. That last one was for me ages ago in my memory now with only me to remember it ... I want to believe that Mom and Pop are up in heaven now, swinging on their porch swing with Ms Belle and the General, two of the more beloved dogs, though knowing Mom, all the cats are there too. And Pop's hosing them off of Mom's MGB.
For me, there is little more fun to be had than swinging on a swing. Letting the mind go and just decompressing away with daydream after daydream ...
After chatting with the artist, DA Artist extraordinaire SanneAdeen, I was told that we were a go and the above image was done. A marvelous piece and a testament to days gone for me ... but still alive for Israfel Vincent, Taffy the Impossible Girl to her friends ...

Considering my family taught me the value of money when I was a kid, I would say so.
I remember that twenty foot swing ... if you fell from that, well ... you were a red stain on either of the two busted cars beneath. Eww, right?
I know, honey. Trust me on that. I go to church more these days to light a candle in their memory.
