A commission from https://www.furaffinity.net/user/srgntdrew, featuring the further adventures of Sir Mike, the perpetually cursed knight, a sequel to the "Howls on the Moor" story and drawing, linked below. While Sir Mike has had many other adventures that you can check out on Drew's page, my drawings and stories are all set in Alvez, the world of Kroashent, a land of magic and intrigue set against a Celtic region inspired by the myths and legends of Brittany.
"Do you know what this is about?" Sieur Bern asked as Lady Teresa strode forward through the halls of her castle with singular purpose, the three knights in tow. "I was up all night looking for the intruder and I'd really like to sleep now."
"You serve at the Lady's command, Bern." Fernard growled from behind his thick red beard. "We don't have time for your petty whining."
"Gods Fernard, when did you become such a hardass?" Bern muttered
"When Sieur Michel was killed in that mist-cursed country, I became captain of Lady Teresa's guard. Clearly, there are threats that we were ill-prepared for. I will not allow us to become complacent again."
Bern pinched his lips together in a scowl as the captain pressed forwards to catch up with Teresa.
"He's right you know." Kurtis muttered seeming to appear behind the younger man form the air itself, causing Bern to jump. As always, Kurtis had a dour melancholy expression echoing his prematurely grey hair. "With war brewing in the North, the dangers against Lady Teresa are growing and with Mike gone, we need to work harder to make sure nothing happens to her."
"Then why are you the only one allowed to carry a sword to whatever Lady Teresa is planning."
"I suppose because I'm the one who won't reach for it at the slightest sound. I suspect this is related to the intruder last night."
Teresa stopped by a large door, knocking on the wooden surface. Something shuffled within. Teresa pushed open the door. Inside was a figure, standing upright like a human, but covered in a thick coat of brown fur, her hands and feet ending in canine paws. A tail poked out behind her clothing, a modified uniform of Teresa's honour guard.
Bern and Fernard started, reaching for weapons that were not there. Kurtis stood passively, only a hint of surprise in his voice. "Sieur Michel?"
Bern turned in bewilderment at the stoic knight, then back to the wolfgirl shifting awkwardly on the balls of her feet. Her face was a lupine muzzle, stretching out beneath a frame of long brown hair, but her expression, one of worry and embarrassment, was undeniably human. Bern scoffed, staring in wonder. The newcomer was not only canine in features, but also clearly a woman, a far cry from the knight that Bern had looked up to.
"By Elouan's light, you are Mike!"
The wolfgirl nodded slowly "Hello, my friends... I think I'm going to win the next drinking contest story..."
