For those who don't know, Harley never had a good relationship with her own mother. Her family was fairly shakey from day one of her parents marriage. Her Dad was constantly working as a mercenary for the HellFighters guild and Mom fooled around on the side with other men. She was dismissive of Harley and to a point abusive. Harley grew up being a problem child until she had a run in with Silvers family.

She stuck around after becoming friends with Nirvana. She was definitely younger than her, but something about the little chaos dragon brought out the best of her. From there things became better for her.

She was able to build a better relationship with her biological father, spite her now single mom whenever she could, and be part of a family that welcomed her greatly.

She sees Silver as a second father, Nirvana like a little sister, and somewhat a mother figure from Carisol. At first Harley didnt think much of Carisol, still on that Moms are bad feel. Carisol persisted and became a best Mom Harley ever could.

At first Harley feels awkward being smothered and emotionally supported. Shes used to being tough and emotionally closed like a guy. sure she learned to be more emotionally stable and disipline through Silver, but to actually feel and emote like a living person was something Carisol was able to bring to light.
