Lesson Two: The Dress Code
In the world of Crystal and Vivy, they follow a dress code called "Essential Covering" which dictates the clothing that must be warn by each gender. For ladies they need to wear tops while for men they need to wear bottoms. This is deemed the essential wear since ladies need tops to support their chest and men need bottoms for similar reasons.
Both genders are allowed to wear whatever they want as long as this main rule is followed. Ladies can wear bottoms if they wish and men tend to wear tops due to required uniforms or out of convenience. However, while ladies can wear bottoms, it would be considered the same as a male in our world wearing a dress or skirt while women can wear any type of clothing they want. It wouldn't be illegal but it would still get strange looks from people.
As can be expected, this is considered the normal form of wearing clothes and neither gender finds it strange or out of the ordinary, except for certain people. Most ladies find not wearing pants natural and most guys consider it equally normal to see ladies without pants on as well. As for men, they won't get any strange looks regardless of if they have a top on or not as long as they have some form of bottoms on.
For certain events or gatherings it is more acceptable for a lady to wear a dress or some other kind of bottom but even in those cases no bottoms is fine as well.
Shown above is the uniform used for both genders at the school Crystal and Vivy currently attend. Crystal has the customary female uniform while Jarret is wearing the male uniform.
