This is art done of a fanfic written by Miranda, set five years after the last battle, with Cassie and Marco at 21 going through some stormy times. The fic is gold, I promise.

Can you believe how hard fireworks are to do? And how impossible it was to find reference of underwater fireworks? This was one of the hardest pages, if only for how often I had to work through Cassie crying. It's a tricky angle to imply in normal circumstances, but when you add the shadows and her skin tone, the medium just fights you.

Also, the third panel is a car and some hot dogs and balloons and an American flag in the foreground, with the California coastal highway and fireworks and a dust cloud left by a dirt bike in the background. It took a while to clarify anything.
