Hi there, my friend has concerns that this species is a "pay to use" one. Is that true or is it just unfounded anxiety? Thanks

I've based these off of the author's public version of the models for the species that was free to use, edit, and redistribute the edits as long as it's not being profited off of without 10% of profits going to the author for royalties. They also (the model) cannot be used for NSFW content. I do not know if that applies to the species. It's not anything I care to do myself though.

In the case of what I've done, is I had asked Gennyuudousi if I could make original clothing for this model for myself, just to make sure editing or creating around their mesh was okay. They have other users they seem to visit with in VR Chat that have edited textures/fur of the species and are fine with that! They provide the texture files for full customization of their fur, and the readme of rules included with the model explicitly states editing is fine as long as we credit the author. So essentially making your own is 100% OK in the context of editing, and using their model as an avatar. I just also applied this to drawing as I usually would draw any stuff my friends and I might goof around with while using the avatar.

I could ask them specifically if creating an original character to draw would be okay. Though I'm sure it would be fine.
