This is a commission for OwenAngelicWolf (on Twitter) of his fursona Owen. This is another one of my digital drawings I am most proud of. I wanted to create a magical and otherwordly feeling to go along with this piece of artwork. It was time consuming to add in the details in the fur, hair, and wings but it proved to be very rewarding. I learnt a lot from creating this and tested out different techniques and brushes. The background was very enjoyable to create and feels as if Owen is really apart of the scene with how well the colors work with each other. Adding a soft backlight from the moon and beginnings of the rising sun was very fun and it really brought the piece together. It was my first commission in awhile (since years ago when I used to take Animal Jam items as payment for art). I am extremely happy with the outcome.
