Absolutely! So classic, yet new! Plus, the type effectiveness was fixed from Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green... I remember Leech Life being super-effective on Zubat. It was how I trained mine at Mt. Moon...

I liked G/S/C because it expanded upon R/B/G/Y's basics and added things that just expanded on the entire existing formula of the time, rather than try to alter things.

I liked Johto's berry system on the GBC. It was BERRY, BRNCUREBERRY, PSNCUREBERRY. Very punctual. Now you got all these odd types that unless you read their description it's like "Okay, what does this one do now???" In the case of Pokemon, simplicity was absolutely key to its success. Now it's too complex for its own good.

Actually, the burning cure berry was ICEBERRY, and the freezing cure berry was BRUNTBERRY. Not to mention, the darned confusion cure was MINTBERRY. But at least with the new one, you can plant the berries where you go, and find them later.
